Sacrifice is the first book in The Ten Guardians series, and is about the fractured soul of an ancient dragon made manifest as an adolescent boy named Sparrow. With a forgotten past and an uncertain future, Sparrow begins to piece together clues about his identity as he navigates his new reality. While experimenting with his inconsistent arcane powers he is manipulated into making a grave mistake, putting the lives of everyone around him in jeopardy. He is rescued by a unique group of mixed mortals and begins a treacherous journey to find the rest of his corrupted soul. Will his restoration doom or save the world? Only time will tell.
